Wayfinding Retreat Participant Agreement 

Honoring our shared commitment to clarity, care, and mutual respect

Effective date: August 1, 2025


1. Retreat Overview 

This agreement outlines the terms of participation in Wayfinding: Honoring What’s True, Choosing What’s Next, a reflective retreat for mid-career signed language interpreters. The retreat will be held from May 19-25, 2026 at Camp Chapel Rock, Prescott, Arizona.

The retreat is designed to support deep reflection, personal insight, and intentional realignment through guided activities, group conversations, and spacious rest.

Included:

  • Group sessions, creative activities, reflective practices, and all required retreat sessions
  • Double-Occupancy Hotel-Style Lodging for 7 nights 
  • Meals from Dinner on 5/19/26 - Breakfast on 5/25/26
  • 4.0 CEUs (pending as of 9/1/2025)
  • Transportation between PHX Airport and Camp Chapel Rock

Not included:

  • Flight to PHX Airport


2. Language Use

This retreat will be conducted primarily in spoken English. This language choice is not intended to exclude Deaf interpreters or community members. Rather, it reflects our focus on creating a specific kind of reflective space for hearing interpreters and their unique experiences in the field. If a Deaf interpreter is interested in accessing this retreat content in a form that honors their lived experience, we warmly invite you to reach out. 3. Payment & Cancellation 

Participants agree to pay the full retreat fee as outlined at the time of registration. Payment plans, if selected, must be completed in full unless other arrangements have been approved prior to April 1, 2026.

Refund Policy:

  • Within 30 days of registration: Full refund

  • After 30 days, but before November 1, 2025: Refund minus $100 administrative fee

  • Between November 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025: Refund minus $300 administrative fee

  • Between January 1, 2026 and April 1, 2026: 50% refund of total registration fee

  • After April 1, 2026: No refunds available

If we must cancel or reschedule the retreat, you will receive a full refund or have the option to apply your payment to a future retreat.


4. Participation Expectations 

We invite all participants to:

  • Show up with honesty, openness, and care

  • Respect group confidentiality and others’ boundaries

  • Take responsibility for their own needs and well-being

Participation is voluntary. You are always at choice, and all invitations are optional.


5. Health, Safety & Accessibility 

This retreat is not a replacement for therapy, medical care, or crisis intervention. Participants agree to communicate any health or accessibility needs in advance, including any food allergies. We will do our best to provide supportive accommodations.


6. Liability Waiver 

By registering, participants agree to hold harmless the retreat hosts, facilitators, and venue from liability for injuries, loss, or damages related to participation. Travel and retreat involvement carry inherent risks that participants understand and agree to by registering.


7. Agreement & Consent 

By registering and checking the required box at checkout, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this agreement, the Statement on Inclusivity, and the Statement on the Use of English. You consent to the terms listed above and affirm your willingness to participate in this retreat with presence and respect.
